True, there are no real numbers that WG would disclose even then or even now.īut based on what I see in the wee hours of the morning, it appears a contingent of mostly Australian and New Zealand players. I have nothing to back that up with except gut feeling I don't know it WG ever said how many took advantage of the migration, but even looking at just Australia and New Zealand I would expect the players who moved would be well in the minority. I know of a few that moved, at least those that said their farewells on the forum. The main complaint I hear about Asia is camping and sometimes unwilling to cap. So the games aren't as "serious" and aren't half filled with people who just charged up the tiers knowing "everything". One reason I haven't experienced much toxicity would be because I never play ranked and I usually play mid tiers 5, 6, and 7. We sometimes were in div with a friend of his in Malaysia. I had a regular div mate who was in Indonesia and between battles we chatted about all sorts of different things having two really different backgrounds. Of course there are different languages so you can't speak with some people, but then again, sometimes English speakers just don't listen anyway. Maybe I haven't done enough to be abused more, but I don't argue back. There have been a some minor incidents, such as deliberate friendly torps or gunfire, accused of cheat mod by enemies. I've played 18,775 Random battles in Asia since April 2016 and have never been bothered by toxicity. My main account is on the Asia server and any difference there may or may not be in ping has never affected my playing on NA.
